Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major

Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major is one of six orchestral pieces that Bach dedicated the six concertos to Margrave Christian Ludwig of Brandenburg on March 24, 1721. The third concerto is the shortest of the six. The style is reminiscent of the Italian concerto and features melodic and rhythmic similarities to the compositions of Vivaldi. Overall, the Brandenburg concertos are a great example of the Baroque music style. Bach's use of ritornello form in the outer movements was common for both instrumental and vocal music during the time.

Movements:

I. Allegro

II. Adagio cadenza

III. Allegro
