Harpsichord

The harpsichord was an important instrument during the 16th-18th centuries. Most baroque composers played and/or wrote music for the harpsichord.

The harpsichord was a keyboard instrument where strings were were plucked to create vibrations. There are different sets of strings that produce different tone qualities. The harpsichords inability to produce dynamic variations caused it to lose popularity to instruments like the piano.

Compositions for Harpsichord:

- J.S. Bach's Harpsichord Concerto in A major, BWV 1055
